IMPACT

Communities right across the Hebrides are delivering a power of work to tackle food poverty. Whatever their core purpose may be, many small groups and organisations are adding to their activities, even in small ways, to help food provision in their area. Bringing people together around food combats more than food poverty. 

 

It creates community, helps tackle loneliness and social isolation and positively impacts the environment, providing opportunities for local producers to find outlets for their locally grown produce, reducing food miles and providing high-quality, nutritious food for the people who need it.
